ABOUT THE EVENT
Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic High School Prep Showcase, a premier fall event bringing together the top 2030 girls lacrosse teams from the Mid-Atlantic to compete in full-length high school-style games. Held on the historic and beautiful campus of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, this play day allows youth athletes to compete, connect, and prepare for high school play.
This isn’t just another tournament—it’s a curated day of elite competition and a one-of-a-kind experience. It’s designed to help club coaches prioritize player development while giving athletes a true feel for the next level.

EVENT DETAILS

Format: Each team plays 2 games (four - 12-minute quarters with a stopped clock) with a break in between. Game blocks are 2 hours and include an on-field warm-up.

Fields: 3 top-quality turf fields with working scorebaords

Schedule: Games run from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, all games will be played within a five hour block in either the morning or afternoon

Cost: $2,200 per team

Top-tier 2030 teams thoughtfully paired for competitive games and maximum player development. A maximum of 12 teams are invited to join.
The Prep Showcase will feature four 12-minute quarters with a stopped clock, two timeouts and an extended halftime
Teach players about clock management with working scoreboards on each field
Each team plays two full games, with ample rest and warm-up built in. Between games, debrief the game, grow your leaders, and bond as a team with the provided material from Mind Over Talent
Hosted by Mind Over Talent, the event emphasizes more than just lacrosse—it’s about leadership, mindset, and personal growth
Teams will walk away with 12-point mental performance evaluation with suggestions for improvements
SHOWCASE RULES

All games will be played on regulation full-size turfs fields

Each team will have 30 minutes of on-field warm-up time.

Referees will complete a stick check before the start of each game.

12-minute quarters, 2 minutes in-between quarters

Half-Time to be determined and agreed upon at pre-game meeting with referees, coaches, and captains*. Halftime will be between 5-10 minutes.

The official clock and scoreboard will be run at the official table. Scoreboards on each field will be working.

Teams are required to provide an accurate roster for official stats to be taken at the table.

Two times-outs are permitted for each team per game.

In the case of a tie at the end of regulation, sudden-death overtime will be played as long as the game is within the two-hour time block.

2025 US Lacrosse high school rules will apply.

Teams will have a minimum of 45 minutes rest between games.

*Teams are encouraged to think about how they will "select" captains for each game. This is a great learning and leadership moment. Captains are allowed to be unique to each game if the coach chooses.
